Nutrition Diversified is an organization devoted to amplifying diverse voices in nutrition and addressing discrepancies in this profession. We are committed to nutrition through social justice and health equity lenses, promoting cultural humility resources and celebrating underrepresented nutrition professionals.
Christabel Menezes (she/her/hers) is a first generation Indian immigrant currently living on Treaty 14 (Mississauga, ON) in so-called Canada. After seeing a severe disparity in representation in the field, the lack of food justice education in her undergraduate and the inaccurate demonization of cultural foods in dietetics, she founded Nutrition Diversified in the summer of 2020. She is currently completing her education at X University in Toronto, and hopes to work in food policy and health equity.
